Inappropriate?Hey Dave,
I (and undoubtedly other Googlers) do read this forum from time to time (especially to glean feedback and make our services better!), but we can't make this our primary help area. We have hugely comprehensive help centers for our products... with info in dozens of languages and often forums, blogs, and -- in the case of webmaster stuff -- even a massive tool set.
Personally, I work with a large international team that specializes in helping webmasters around the world (at http://www.google.com/webmasters). We publish dozens of blog posts a quarter, answer tons of questions, publish hundreds of help docs, and so on.
If you're aware of a Google product or service that doesn't have a help center, let me know! Or even if there's one that has no place to ask a question (contact form, forum, blog, etc.), let me know that, too.
But otherwise, the best place to get support on Google stuff remains our official help centers. That's where not only Googlers hang out, but tons of superusers (now called "Top Contributors.").
