Is there a way to block a sender in gmail?
I keep getting email from one address. I don't want to just filter it to my trash, and it's not spam. It's from someone trying to email somebody else but I guess they have the wrong address. I've asked them to stop emailing me but they keep sending forwards and poems and photos and other crap mail I don't want

Inappropriate?Yeah, I'd like to block some senders too!
I think all we can do is create a filter, for now..
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I have a filter in Gmail that effectively does what you want. I use an auto-responder to send back a "mail has been rejected" type message whenever someone I've blacklisted emails me. Here's what I did:
1. First, in Settings > Labs, enable Canned Responses — this is the auto-responder.
2. Compose a new message, the message that will go out whenever someone on the block list emails you.
3. From the top of the compose bar, select Canned Responses > Save new canned response.
3. Go to Settings > Filters > Create a new filter
4. Put the problem sender's address in the from: field, click "Next Step"
5. Check off any options you want — skip the inbox, delete if necessary, and make sure to click the very last option to send them your canned response.
At the very least, this solution means you won't have to be bothered looking at them, but they don't necessarily have to be deleted. And perhaps if the sender gets an annoying automated reply EVERY time they email you something, they'll stop sending you annoying email.
