Is there any circumstances where we can present different data to googlebot than we do to normal user agents?

I recently posted about some spam issues we're combatting on Satisfaction. Not so much that we want to fight spam in our system, but rather we want to keep the spam out of your indexes. That would be much easier to do that If we could only show data to googlebot when we actually want you to index our site. As far as I know, that violates the terms of service.

We specifically want to show different content to normal users as opposed to what we show to googlebot, because we don't want to actually give an indication of the failure to the spammer(apart from the meta tags).

Is there any way to achieve this without violating your TOS? In this case we would be presenting different content to google to work around a bug in your indexing system.
