Share vs. Share with Note

I enjoy using the share button with Google Reader. If I want to share a comment, I can use the "Share with Note" button. When I express my comments too, though, I don't have any immediate, visual confirmation that the post made it into my shared items feed.

If I hit the share button too, will the post get shared twice? I don't know and it's really bugging me.
