I reported this a few days ago using the webmaster tools. Are you guys just understaffed or what?
I've had very little luck getting google to address bugs. E.g. there was a serious googlebot bug that I reported (in several ways) 2 years ago; it was only recently fixed.

Inappropriate?The reason is not necessarily because Google is understaffed. They definitely take spam reports into consideration, but they do not penalize the sites right away. It depends on the degree of the spam violation.
What they do is, they leave such sites in the indexed for test purposes tweaking their spam filters.
