Inappropriate?Gmail started "Gmail Labs" recently. Through which they are testing experimental features. Lets hope any new feature is added there for using Tabs like reading pane. -
Inappropriate?I don't see how this would be useful. All web browsers in the past few years have had tabbed views already. You just right-click whatever link and select "Open in a new tab" or something to that effect.

GMail runs off JScript, not normal links. The right-click thing doesn't work. -
This is not tabbed browsing, but tabbed layout, like in MS Word, not the same at all!
