Real text-only news feeds (no HTML markup please!)

Google News feeds currently come with an incredible amount of embedded HTML markup, including tables and hard-coded font formatting. For us developers this makes it a nightmare to try to present the news content in interesting and creative ways. This seems very out-of-line with the general Google ethos, but has nonetheless remained unaddressed for a very long time ( http://weblog.philringnalda.com/2005/... )!

Google, please publish Google News feeds without any HTML markup or styling, or at least offer a method for developers to obtain the data free of these restrictions.
