the new version of Gmail crashes Firefox 2.0.0.x 9 times out of 10.
It's clearly a conflict with an extension, but I can't figure out which one. When I launch FF in Safe Mode I have no issues at all.
I've disabled Firebug, and have turned off Greasemonkey. I've heard that perhaps it is the Web Developer extension -- but honestly, I refuse to turn that one off. I use it constantly.
Any ideas?

Inappropriate?Data point: I'm a heavy Gmail user with Firefox 2.0.0.7, Firebug and Web Developer 1.1.4. So far I have not had any problems.
Don't forget to check the Gmail support newsgroups to see if there are other people reporting similar issues.

Thanks, Jeff (late reply here, I know). I'll try that. Thought I had disabled that already, but will try anything at this point. -
Inappropriate?I have no problems with gmail in ver 2.0.0.13, but 9 times out of ten firefox crashes when running Google Analytics scripts.

Inappropriate?I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.14 and I have this problem whenever I press the Browse button to attach a file to a message. Interestingly, the same thing happened when I hit the Browse button in my getsatisfaction profile page...so the problem is not Gmail, it's Firefox. Yes?
I’m frustrated

Update: I determined that the problem was Gmail Notifier, which was affecting the browse button in all Firefox windows. (It wasn't crashing them, as it turns out, but rather taking a long time -- minutes, at times -- to load the Windows Explorer browse window....and freezing all other Firefox windows in the meantime.) Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled Gmail Notifier and everything is working fine, now. ...Curtis... -
Inappropriate?Im having exactly Leandro's problem... Iv changed to the older version to see if it changes the issue.
I’m Totally Baffed

Inappropriate? Not just gmail ... I'm having same problem with Yahoo! email and MS exchange server. It's something in FF ... I haven't added any "addons" or made any major changes that I can think of within the past couple of days.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I've had this problem, too, but since I've installed Better Gmail 2 extension, it stopped crashing!
I’m happy!:D

Inappropriate?I reverted to classic firefox skin, disabled my link validator, wc3 checker, and some other SEO related tools i didn't use all of the time.
I kept Web Developer and Link Checker on though, I now can send mail in Gmail without crashing. Keep disabling your add-ons, one of them is a sneaky snake gmail breaker!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?GRRRR it is an add-on causing trouble but I took EVERYTHING off: DOM inspector, Download StatusBar, Firefox Showcase, FireFTP, Foxmark Bookmark Synchronizer, FOxyTunes, Google gear, I heart Miro, Moviefone Toolbar, Post to Wordpress, Readeroo (which I love) Stumbleupon, Tab Mix Plus, and Wordpress Post.
Any of these prime suspects?
I’m kinda pooped

Inappropriate?I have a similar problem but it only started after I upgraded to AVG v 8. Are ohers with this problem also using AVG 8...?
