Unable to acces my google account!
Today I woke up and tried to login to my gmail account to check my email like I usually do. When I try to login it says the username and account password does not match. Strange so I tried to recover my password. I type in my username then the swirly letters and it says "there are no accounts in our system" with that name!!! When I try to recover my username with the seccondary email account it says that there are no google gmail accounts under this name. When I try to sign up for another gmail account it says my name is already taken. I know my account was compromised because I even changed my password yesterday and was using the new password no problem until 1am Feb25th. I get up and suddenly no luck! Google's help pages and "support" or lack-there-of is also not helpful at all. Nothing I have tried even remotely feels like its working. it's like someone just deleted my account with a new password I just set on it for kicks and giggles. I wish there was something someone could do about this.

Given that you're not able to use your secondary account to regain access, you should select the bottom option on this page. From there, you can fill out a details form and one of the Gmail folks will tackle the situation as soon as they can.
If you've already filled out that form, please be patient for a couple more days or so.

Inappropriate?I've had this problem too, it's possibly because I didn't use it for a year or so. Problem is, I've played an online MMORPG called FlyFF for 2+ years, and I need access to my old gmail account to be able to change any profile settings for my account on this game's site. I cannot change my password or anything else until I can access my old account.

Inappropriate?Just had an exact repeat episode...account disabled. I my case its because there was a security issue with Google Checkout...the worthless redundant buying service that I signed up for to get 10% off some gear. What a fool. The Googlesphere is inherently evil and here’s why. They promote trust that lures users with awesome free cloud computing service. I foolishly trusted Google and used Gmail, Docs, and Picassa to safeguard my data. Now, because of some BS Checkout problem, they’ve locked me away from my data. IMAP made the situation far worse, since I now have lost 3-years worth of email data. INSANE. I blasted the cheerleaders at Lifehacker who promote all things Google. I suggest that anyone who suffers a similar fate do the same. The word needs to get out that Google can’t be trusted. -
Inappropriate?I feel so much as you do - dismayed that I trusted I could access my Google account on a seldom basis. Frustrated with the totally user UNFRIENDLY system for establishing identity for support. I have been going round in circles with this for at least 4 months if not longer.
I am bewildered. My record of passwords (I have at least a hundred for various online services) indicates 2 different Google Mail accounts with the same password. One of the passwords must be wrong as I CAN'T access my Google Account using a web browser (mismatch error).
Both appear to work because I CAN retrieve mail BUT only by using my Mac based mail app. (I am petrified to delete the passwords and retype them though).
The help system for password retrieval etc is impossible. The email never comes back for a reset password. The same loop occured after 5 days when I try to reaccess. I even set the date in my calendar to make sure I was exactly on the date - to no avail. Then I give up again and resort to some other measure - until the next time I really need to resolve this thing. There is only ONE me - my username is unique so far on the internet and IS actually closely associated with my family history - so I can prove my identity.
Oh yeah - I've joined here with THE bloody gmail account in question, because I WILL receive the response email unless GOOGLE decide to block my account as well.
