Will we soon/ever be able to filter outgoing Gmail messages?

Will we ever be able to filter outgoing messages in Gmail? I would like to cc or bcc a certain address whenever I send mail to a certain address. This has been on the "suggest a feature" page for Gmail (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/st...) for ages (years). Is there any chance of at least getting it as a Labs feature sometime soon? If not, why? It would be great to get a response from a Gmail team representative.
