Inappropriate?I'm really sorry, it definitely looks like we've got the wrong web address. I have submitted a correction request to the Maps team.
Please accept our apologies.
P.S. Thank you for providing the exact URL, that makes our job a lot easier.

Thank you for your help and quick response Neil. -
Inappropriate? We have the same issue. Correct URL: http://www.veritynational.com
for this map URL: http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&...
Thanks in advance.... -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem.
What's worse is that we have uploaded a correct listing to local business center and our correct listing is not shown, but the incorrect listing that Google came up with is shown. When I try to edit the incorrect listing there is nothing in the URL box. I wonder if that is the problem. There is no URL for the listing, so Google guesses.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? So long as the listing hasn't been claimed by a business owner, you can just edit the listing to correct it.
Click on "Hours and more »" or "reviews, directions, and more »" or whatever the actual wording under the listing is. And then look for the "Edit" link. There will be an Edit link if the listing hasn't been claimed.
If the listing has been claimed then the link will be "Add or edit your business" and then to edit it and correct it you need to validate / verify that you are the business owner - and that's where the fun starts!
I’m hoping this helps
-
Inappropriate?Yes you're right Stuart, and what fun that was! After 2 days of trying contacted Neil and he corrected it in no time. Neil's the man!
I’m most grateful

Inappropriate?I have an unverified UK listing which has an incorrect website address. I can't find any way of editing it or 'claiming' the listing, only adding a new listing which does not allow me to edit the existing listing. There is no edit link showing anywhere on the exiting listing. My correct website address is www.scarboroughcounselling.com. The url is http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?c...
Please help! How do I verify/edit the existing unverified listing? -
Inappropriate?Hi Jay, I just looked at your problem, and I did find that the claim your business link didn't work properly as you describe. However I also checked on google.com and it worked there.
So, if you search for your business on http://maps.google.co.uk and click 'claim your business' it only offers upload a new listing. But if you go to http://maps.google.com/ and search for your business then the 'claim your business' goes to a page with edit and claim options.
Hope this helps! -
Inappropriate?Hi Stuart,
Thank you so much! I've found it as you describe. Many thanks for responding so swiftly.
I’m very grateful.

Inappropriate?Hi, so I'm back again. Found the link as signposted by Stuart, did everything, have waited 2 weeks for the postcard to arrive in the post with the PIN to verify, and ... nothing has arrived. Still can't verify/change listing, back to square one. Does anyone have any further advice please?
I’m very frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Well, I don't know how but the day after I posted my last comment my correct website address appeared on my listing, without any further activity on my part ... The gods of Google move in mysterious ways.
I’m untimately happy if slightly confused
