Error: You have not synchronized Google Reader for offline use, it cannot be used in offline mode.
I was reading feeds in Google Reader just fine. Due to the Joystiq blog network's redesign, I unsubscribed from a few of their feeds and when I went to resubscribe to their new feeds, I keep getting the above error message. I did not attempt to go offline. Now I can't even load Google Reader without getting that message. Clicking the "go online" arrow does pop up the "sync" box but that never progresses.
I can access Google Reader by using https instead of http and the feed I attempted to subscribe to is there... this is just inconvenient.

Inappropriate?I had to completely turn off Offline in Gmail Labs and uninstall Google Gears to fix the problem.
Where's the testing?
I’m not happy about Gmail quality lately

Inappropriate?I had this problem too, but once I changed the setting to "Denied" for all the sites that Gears is set up for on my machine I could get access to Reader again; allowing Gears access again doesn't appear to have re-broken it. (Fingers crossed)
