Google Reader on iPhone reloads too frequently
Google Reader for iPhone reloads too often. Almost any page I navigate to makes Reader reload when I switch back to it. This could be lessened if more of my state was maintained, but generally feels clunky.

Inappropriate?... and because posts are marked as read when I start reading them, if I follow a link in the middle of a post I'm likely never to get to read the end.
If posts were marked as read when I read the next post (or when the post lost focus, rather than when it gained focus), this wouldn't be a problem.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? This is generally a problem with Mobile Safari and iPhone memory management. If the page that opens is small, does not use a lot of memory, then when you go back to the Google Reader page it doesn't reload. The iPhone OS is asking the tab in the background to swap out when it runs low on memory. This is improved with the new iPhone 3G[S] because of the additional RAM included on that device.

So those who design around the limitations of the iPhone platform (reasonable limitations, like not having infinite RAM) should take this into account by, say, making sure that urls are updated during navigation and always represent the current state of the page.
When you reload a page it shouldn't arbitrarily change state, especially state as important as the post you're half way through reading! -
Inappropriate?Google seems to have harnessed the power of HTML 5 to fix this problem with Gmail, I'm sure they are working on it with GReader as well, but since I use it so much I'd like to see it sooner rather than later!
I’m hopeful
