Subfolders for Google Reader!
I would like to see subfolders added to Google Reader. I think it is a great RSS reader and I love that I can have it ready to go anywhere just be signing into Gmail. The iPhone version rocks.
My suggestion is that you be able to have subfolders for your feeds. For instance I have "News" folder. I would like to be able to add subfolders to that News folder like "Political" "National" "World" "Tech" etc.
It would make it easier to look at all my tech feeds if that's all I wanted to read at the moment and also make it possible to catch up on all my news feeds, regardless of category, if I wanted to by selecting the main "News" folder.

The company has not planned to implement this.
The best point from everyone

I used to want this as well but actually just adding a second tag to the feed works just as well. Just tag feeds as either "Political" "National" etc AND "News." then you have the choice of selecting everything tagged news or the subsets.

That's what I've ended up doing. It's a good compromise. I'm just used to folders and subfolders. -
This is actually the same way GMail works- labels instead of folders and subfolders. Consider the 'National' tag a subfolder of your 'News' tag by giving an item both the 'National' and 'News' tags. -
I don't really use tags, but I like your idea. It makes sense to have a folder that you can expand when necessary rather than just having all the tags listed. -
Inappropriate?I like this idea, too.
I understand that every "subfolder" could be seen as a simple folder (by using the tags ... I really like tags), but I am using a netbook most of the time and I here have the problem (it's not really a problem but something I don't like that much), that my folder list is quiet long for a netbook ;). No Problems in Big Screen.

Inappropriate? The only problem is that tags DO NOT tag folders but individual items inside a folder.
