i'm really inspired by goplan and would love to use it in our agency, but:
what are your plans for the next release?
seems difficult to get reliable information regarding this topic...
hope you can shed some light on this and would be excellent if you could
update the product blog and publish a beta soon.
You guys have almost everything I need other then timesheets. As I assign the tasks to my employees, contractors, can they enter the amount of time spent by them on each task? Or maybe enter timesheets by dates
I am actively searching for a project management solution, and for me the calendar is the most important selling point. I can't try out the calendar in the free version of goplan, and the demo (demo@goplan.com) won't work unless activated. Please give me a solution.
A major calender which would show all entries of other project calendars. You could also post events in major calendar and associate them with specific projects / tasks / subtasks
How do permissions work in GoPlan? I don't see any screenshots that address the granularity of the permissions system, and I didn't see any permissions settings in the demo. This is a critical consideration for our use of the software.
It would be a good idea to have master templates for categories, tasks, notes and posts in the Account Preferences. So when a user creates a new project, the templates are automatically applied. It would save a lot of time.
Basecamp has a somewhat similar option, but its primitive in my opinion.
"Assign to" combo should be included in "Quickly create a task" form in tasks screen.
It will be very useful for creating simple tasks that require no further description, yet must be assigned to someone. Its pretty annoying going to "edit task form" to select the person the newly created task is assigned to. In these cases "Quickly create a task" form totally misses its point, since creating a (simple) assigned task stops being so quick.
We are an organization that puts on events. The project management software I am looking for would have a concept of "project template" that could stamp out an initial version of the project, to be tweaked by the event manager for specifics. We might have several different templates for different types of events. But this would allow us to incorporate learnings and continuous improvement into our project organization and get going quickly, which we often need to do.
How can I re-order task categories? They don't seem to be in order of when they were added, nor are they alphabetical. I use the categories as milestones and would like them in a specific order, like I can do with individual tasks.
Do you plan to integrate a reporting feature? We generally turn in monthly reports and i'm wondering the best way to capture projects, tasks and time spent. ActionThis has a good reporting system and the ability to quickly add emails to their tasks (some outlook plugin).
i just created 2 projects in a free account,
and when i try access them i get the red message -
"The selected project doesn't exist."
(even that i see them in my list of projects)
