About Pownce on the Web
A web-based communication platform for sharing ideas, snippets of information, links, files, and possibly anything else one could imagine.
Does GC offer a way to call out from my GC number (such that my GC number comes up on my recipient's caller ID) without using GrandCentral.com? I love the "Call" feature, and it would be even better if I could use it when I'm away from the computer.
The big problem this would solve, for me, is trying to explain why I have two different phone numbers. I prefer to give out my GC number, but if I call someone for the first time from my real cell number, that's the one that gets entered into their phonebook forevermore. If there was, say, a way to dial my own number, hit a couple buttons and enter the number I wanted to call, that would make it a lot more convenient for me!
Grand Central does not address this on their website, and they don't provide a way to contact them with questions like this, so... enter Satisfaction!
My question is simply, does Grand Central plan to offer support for text messaging? In other words, will I ever be able to receive text messages that people send to my Grand Central number? If not, then Grand Central is not for me.
There are two people who live in the same neighborhood and have phone numbers from the same central office. When they call my Grand Central number, it goes silent for 5 seconds and then goes to a reorder signal. (fast busy) Maybe there is a bad trunk from their CO?
I love the idea of a Quick Rule, but I never use it. The problem is, I'm always worried that I'll forget about it and leave it turned on. A Dashboard widget (or Konfabulator widget, or ...) would be great, because I pull up my Dashboard a lot more often than I do my GrandCentral inbox.
Right now I'm home for the holidays, and I don't get any cell reception at all. I know it's not a big thing, but I'd love to have a more convenient way to turn my Rules on and off.
I have a Grand Central account but I can't find anywhere that allows me to set the number of rings before the call goes to voicemail, does anyone know?
