Go ahead... Shop for a BRAND
Shopping lists with brand names now work as expected. So "Bairds", "Bordens" or "Log Cabin" now behave as would be expected.

Inappropriate?I've just tried a list with "Tide" and it returned 2 Capri Sun items and a Gatorade, but no Tide detergent.

Inappropriate?Short story made long...
Grocio has licensed the names of the GROCERY roducts + their UPCs (for a big chunk of change) from a third party. There are some options we could have added.... images, nutritional information, plus many others. And, we probably will over time. There are several databases to pick from - health care/personal, cleaning products, plus many others.
I opted to start out with ONLY the names, descriptions and UPCs of the grocery database for the purposes of the beta. To do much more than that would have meant spending money sooner than necessary and frankly not have resulted in THAT much better of a product for testing.
Lots of reasons to license the data... I'll not go into that here because it's advantageous to Grocio to keep some things proprietary. No sense helping would-be competitors.
paa101, hope that answers the question head on and explains some of the background. I know it was a bit long... there are entrepreneurs and students reading the answers and I'm trying to keep them in mind as I post answers.
I’m getting there!

Inappropriate? Thanks for the detailed answer! This prompted a light bulb moment for me as the rpoducts I've seen strange results from have been non-grocery items. D'oh!
I’m Clear of confusion!
