Will grooveshark skip uploading songs it already has?
If Grooveshark already has a song in it's library that's identical to one you want to upload, will it skip uploading and just add the song to your library?

Inappropriate?I am wondering the same question.
I have quite a large music library and do not want to be tethered to an ethernet cable all day to upload my songs...
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?Dont expect an answer, they are busy making more features not work in VIP rather than deal with existing issues.
They just want you to keep uploading music and do their work. -
Inappropriate? It won't upload Files that we already have. If we already have the Song in the system but its a File that we don't have it will upload that File. We're working on ways to limit what Files get uploaded based on the content we already have available (i.e. we have 10+ Files already for that song, don't upload a new File). If you want to have an idea of how many Files will get uploaded, just run the first stage of the uploader and any Files that show up in the list will be uploaded after you click Add.
If you only want only certain albums/files to upload, you can choose which folders/files to upload individually in the file picker rather then choosing your entire library. -
Inappropriate?1. I'm almost certain 98% of people trying to upload files have no idea why their file is not uploading because no error is generated, nothing is stated on the results page and you have to be a little savvy to make your way to this support thread.
2. Your suggestion is not totally accurate. For the last 6 days, I have been attempting to upload a song that meets the requirements that are not listed anywhere on the grooveshark page. This file never shows up, and a search for it yields no results.
Maybe you guys can like FIX it?
Put together a straight forward requirements for mp3 files, generate an error message if the upload doesn't work... maybe have a pop up that suggests that a file already exists and link to it?
