Gratitude Journal Autocorrect and capital letters issue

When I'm typing the first word in an entry in Gratitude Journal, autocorrect keeps suggesting words with wrong capital letters: "tHursday," for example, and "i" -- it changes every "I" back to "i" unless I click the Autocorrect "go away" box each time to stop it. But I don't have an autocorrect problem with any other programs on my ipod touch (running 3.0 software and the latest version of the app). Is there a way to fix this?
