Inappropriate?- Is iPhoto at least launched by dupeGuru PE during the process?
- How many photos do you have in your iPhoto collection? Communication with iPhoto can get rather slow when there's a lot of photos involved.
- Does the Console (in /Applications/Utilities/Console) contain an error message? -
Inappropriate?I have deleted the PE cache directory and it worked once, but now I can't get it to work again. It will add the directory and then start a scan, but there are no findings in over 12,000 files
I’m anxious

I scanned with regu Dupe and it found the duplicates, so it's PE that is having the problem -
- Do you run OS X or Windows?
- If OS X, Intel or PowerPC?
- If OS X again, does the Console (in /Applications/Utilities/Console) contain any dupeGuru PE related error message? -
Inappropriate?I run OS 10.5.6. I did get a console error originally (there is so much stuff in there now and I can't remember the date, so I can't find it) but now it just won't add the directory or run the scans. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Is there an uninstaller?
-
Inappropriate? There is no need to uninstall, as installation is simply the action of copying the application bundle in the Applications folder.
It can't add directories? It seems like dupeGuru is in a really messed up state. Are you sure that you actually have quit the application (Through "dupeGuru PE --> Quit dupeGuru PE" in the main menu, or through Command-Q) before restarting it? Simply closing the main window does not cause an application to quit.
