dupeGuru PE stopped finding duplicates after crash
My DupeGuru PE stopped finding duplicates after a crash. It adjornes session quickly after analysis. I have re-installed the dmg and it then worked without re-entering the registration but same defect. It seems as if it kept results which indictes no duplicates (even on new directories) and I can not re-set this to zero. Is there a hidden file keeping the results ? Can anyone help ? PS: I work on very large collections (> 30.000 pctures). Initially that took some time but worked well ....

Inappropriate?The problem has been solved through e-mail. For the record, the console contained "database disk image is malformed" errors. The solution was to delete the dupeGuru PE cache directory which is in "~/.hsoftdata/dupeguru_pe". ".hsoftdata" is a hidden directory, so to access it, you must first go in your Home directory in Finder, press cmd-shift-G and then type ".hsoftdata" in the box. You will then be able to trash the dupeguru_pe directory.
