Filter in Transaction view not working correctly
When entering a multi expense account transaction (for example: payed 30 EUR in a shop, where 25 EUR go to expense account "food" and 5 EUR go to "books") and filtering for "food" or "books" will always bring the full amount of 30 EUR. In my opinion, when filtering for "food" only 25 EUR should be displayed, when filtering for "books" only 5 EUR.

Inappropriate?I'm not too sure about this one. On the one hand, I think it would be confusing to show partial transactions in filter views, but on the other hand, I can see how it might be useful.
Let me ask you: What information are you trying to get with the filter? Do you want to know how much you spent in "books"? What makes the "Profit & Loss" view inadequate to get this information? -
Inappropriate? The point is, when I use a filter in a way it is meant here, then I would expect that it filters out all appropriate lines, even in these split transactions.
Ok, I'm not able to disable the "To" column in transaction view, so I always have the chance to see the comma-separated list of expense accounts and therefore know that there might be other expense accounts affected, but in my opinion, the filter then works not correctly.
Additionally, I'm typically list-oriented and would look at all transactions, then wondering why there is such a high value in a transaction, after a while I'd realize that this came from a split transaction (because the "To" column would be out of my visual focus when looking for amounts only). -
Inappropriate?Yeah, I think I understand your point. However, I can't just show partial amount for transactions without making it clear that it's a partial amount, and the implementation of such a feature will be non-trivial. So I'm adding this to my to-do list (to try to design something to address this problem), but I'm not sure I'll schedule it for 1.6.
