7 days and no contact, no progress and no work done...

7 days ago I issued a very straight forward and well defined task. I have not had any contact made since then. I contacted a guy named "Jed" who posted on the forums and he emailed back and asked for details so that he could look into it. Then Jed didn't contact me. Was I just scammed out of $15?
