fixx/Tomcat as a service?
Hi,
just one question - it is possible to run fixx (embedded Tomcat) as a service, without the need of logged user with running shell/DOS prompt window on the computer?
Thank you for your reply,
Michal

Hi Michal,
To install fixx as a service on your Windows machine, just go to the bin directory in the command prompt and type the following,
service.bat install fixx
This is un-tested but you should have no problems as this is default Tomcat behaviour.

Inappropriate?Thank you,
next time I will look more closely at the files ;-) -
Not a problem. We should have put that in the documentation, and I have noted this to go into the docs in the next docs update. -
Inappropriate?Hi,
I just want to share some informations about running Tomcat in fixx installation as a service on 64bit Windows. The solution is descibed here: http://blog.datajelly.com/2007/06/run...
Simply - Tomcat and JDK should be also in 64bit versions.
I’m 64bit

Hi Michal,
Thanks for sharing this. We will look to get this into the documentation in the next run. -
Inappropriate?Big Thanks to Michal for sharing this info - links in the blog are still good, maybe worth mentioning this issue in the system requirements? just a quick note about additional config that is required for 64bit OS'

Cheers Dan. We should have updated our documentation but with other priorities, we missed this one.
