How is fixx issues data backed up?
I am evaluating fixx for bug tracking. I have an administrative question. If we use the Embedded database , what facilities do we have to backup the database

Great to hear you are evaluating fixx. Since the embedded database in fixx is just a file based database, the best way to back it up is to take fixx off-line (shutdown) and just back-up the "data" folder in your fixx directory. This shouldn't be a problem at all.
I would really recommend using an external database which supports back-up by default like MySQL (which is by far the most popular by usage between our customers).
