Url being silently shortened by bit.ly
When I create a tweet with a link and the whole content is under the char limit, it is transformed to a bit.ly url when posted to twitter. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Inappropriate?Hi Joao,
Twitter is automatically doing this.
What I'd suggest is using the ow.ly url shortener in hootsuite. This way you'll be able to track every click to the link you created.
Thanks,
Moni

You'd have to contact twitter about it. We don't have control over this. -
Inappropriate?unfortunately this is the way Twitter works, regardless of which 3rd party app you post the tweet, even twitter website itself, Twitter will automatically shorten urls whose length is 30+ chars long
