How can we make the House Party experience better for you?
We're rethinking a lot of the pages and features of our party platform, but really need your input. We'll be sure to give you credit for the ideas you share that turn into something we use. You'll be famous in the House Party world (ok, so it's not like being a Hollywood actor, but it's still pretty cool).

Inappropriate?I really like how the dashboard page indicates status of party host. Realizing a party had been released and watching the map light up with confirmed hosts always left me wondering. And in turn I emailed to find out status. So this has been a great feature to me. Maybe on the application process some fine tuning if you will on questions. Especially if you know ahead of time you are looking for a particular geographic region for applicants. That would prevent someone in mid america from applying if you only want east coast. Also having an opportunity at the end of each application process to leave a 50 word comment of something you want to add that may not have been included in questions.
The more open HP can be with the process the more understaning people will be. I have only hosted 3 parties out of 28 applications. My record is not very good at all and yes at times I have really been frustated. Mainly because the only reason given is too many applicants. It always makes me feel like it is a random selection and no matter what my comments are it doesn't matter. Maybe if another reason were given I wouldn't think the computer is randomly choosing hosts.

Inappropriate?Wow, I am really excited that I found this page!! I have been a member of HP for almost a year, and I have enjoyed the parties I was lucky enough to be picked for. unfortunatly, I had to have major surgery so I took some time off and had not been to the website for a few months. I log in and WOW, everything had changed!..for the good I may ad.
One thing that bothered me in the past, were the people who get the parties and then list the party packs on EBAY. I saw that a couple of people did that after the Margerittaville party, and it really angered me. HP is listed on a lot of 'freebie' websites, and I have a feeling that many of those people sign up JUST to get the loot and do not host parties.
How do you filter those people out? I just applied to the 'Green Mountain' party, I have been waiting and wanting a 'coffee' HP since I signed up (I think I mentioned that in prior polls), I would hate to lose the opportunity to someone who is not honest.
The past 10 applications I have turned in have been turned down..I am really hoping to end the dry spell.... : )

I would also love to see a place where I could post a URL that brings you to a personal blog. In the past, I have blogged about a party, and I would love to share that blog with HP. My friends were more comfortable with posting pics of thier kids on a blog that I can control.

I also love coffee! Unfortunately I got turned down for the green mountain party,and I think that party would have been amazing :( -
Inappropriate?I really love the new set up on Houseparty.com. It is really nice and very easy to navigate. I also love the status page. I do have one issue and that is with the emails, I have received two emails confirming my status in a party ( I am glad my status did not change however this could be very irritating to some.
All in all I think the site looks brighter and more user friendly! Thank you for the redesign! I have been inviting many more people to the parties and to join the site.

Inappropriate?I have to agree I like the new format at House Party and I also agree about people selling merchandise,that is just wrong,and to the ones that did not get the party it is just not fair but I am not sure how you can weed them out,I do this because I love having parties and also because I love trying either new products or favorite ones,but I guess there are always a few bad apples,personally I think House Party is great and I thank you.

Inappropriate?I agree with susan! houseparty is awesome! just discovered it recently ,and I findthat I a now constantly thinking of ideas for my next party,even before it is offered to me lol.Thank you all s much for the opportunity and a good excuse to party!
