Blank Screen on otherwise fine working laptop
I have a HP Pavillion dv1000 laptop. Computer power up, but screen is black. Faint signs of Windows logo and login info. Any suggestions as to whetehr or not it is the backlight or something else?

Inappropriate?Has anyone gotten any satisfaction from HP? Independent repair person told me repair would cost more than it's value. Love that it's 7 days after expiration of care pack certificate!
