does refilling ink cartridges really work?
i want to refill my cartridges instead of spending money for new ones. does anyone know whether this is worth the hassle or whether it even works?

Inappropriate?I haven't done it. I assume that it does work, but I would like to know the details. I would venture to wager that printer manufacturers have made this hard to do. After all, companies like HP are really in the ink business, not the printer business (kind of like the razor and razor blade business).

Inappropriate?I've done it, both with color and now with black cartridges, and both times it didn't work---refilling the cartridges was easy, but nothing would print afterward (blank pages). I'd love to hear from someone who refilled successfully before I break down and buy new cartridges.
