Is it possible to remove a broken touch screen layer in an HP TX1000?
I just want to remove the broken touch screen element on my tx 1000 and use it as a regular laptop. How does one remove it? I have removed the bezel, but it appears the glass of the touch screen is sealed under the plastic outer shield. Is it possible to separate them without damaging the actual display? The service manual I was able to find online does not address this at all.

I did finally take the unit to a local repair shop and he was able to remove the glass and the lcd was still perfect! -

ITS A COMMON FAULT ON HP'S!! This happens to thousands and HP wont admit faults in their products. After sales service is even worse than the products.
