HP 2133, already had a motherboard replaced under warranty (warranty not extended) and HP not willing to fix 2 days out of twelve month warranty!
My neighbor purchased a HP 2133 twelve months and 2 days ago from today.
Already had a motherboard replaced under warranty (warranty not extended) and HP not willing to fix 2 days out of twelve month warranty! It has exactly the same fault.
I would have thought they could back the repair up with another twelve months parts warranty. How poor quality are the parts if they can only give a 3 month warranty?
Anyone have any suggestions, I've already talked to support over the phone and they say they won't do anything.

Inappropriate?I called back again yesterday and spoke to someone else and they were thoughtful enough to speak to their supervisor and they have agreed to service the laptop under warranty.
As with all call centres, you get mixed results depending on who you talk to. The first time I called I got transferred three times and when I called this time the guy who I talked to was helpful straight away. And he couldn't find any record of my previous calls although 2/3 people asked me for my phone number, they obviously didn't log the call.
Although this is a good outcome I hope the MB doesn't die again. Only 3 months warranty and it's already died twice in 12 months.

Inappropriate?So the motherboard died just after the technician who replaced it left. My neighbor asked the tech to stay and wait while they tested, but he said that he was only paid to replace the MB and if there were any further issues then we would need to call back (Note this is now MB number 3). Fault: BIOS error
So I call back and arrange to have the MB replaced again, after techie comes to replace the MB he says the same thing, can't wait to see if it works. MB faulty before the techie even left the drive way. (Note this is now MB number 4). Fault: OS shuts down but power light still on, black screen and fan spinning.
Call customer support, they now tell me that if I want to take this any further we need to contact HK where the laptop was originally purchased. Fantastic customer support! Now I'm supposed to be chasing this issue half way around the world to sort this issue out. 1 laptop, 4 faulty motherboards and still not working.

Inappropriate?My HP2133 died on this issue too 3 days after warranty expiration. I think this is a design flaw of HP2133 and HP just want to wait all warranty expiration. Then they are done.

Same here in Holland. My HP 2133 died only 4 weeks after warranty. Online support suggests I best buy a new one. Well, that will not be HP!
