HP Photosmart printer stops freezes
My new HP (Wi-Fi enabled) Photosmart C4585 "freezes" after being on for more than a few hours: the screen turns off and all the buttons stay lit up - pressing any of the buttons does nothing and I end up pulling out the power cord and restarting it.
It doesn't respond over the network either.
Any ideas if this is a known problem or whether I should get a refund/exchange from the seller?

Inappropriate?Me too, exactly the same symptoms. The only way of getting the printer to do anything is unplugging it.
I’m frustrated

HP released a firmware update for the C4585 (and potentially other models) which solves this issue: it's been working perfectly for me since :)
Use the Windows HP software updater or download the update installer from the HP website: you'll need to connect the printer to USB to do its thing and then you can just put it back on Wi-Fi after.
