Wireless printer steals internet connection

We bought a HP Photosmart C4585 and it works fine via USB but when we try to connect to the printer via wireless it cuts all our wireless connections from macs and pcs to our wireless router. So we lose our internet connection. I'm sure this is a configuration issues. Please help! Thanks, David.
