Will HTC acknowledge the Hero's reception problems?

It is becoming more apparent as time rolls by that the HTC Hero has reception issues. The reception meter flickers between zero and maximum bars, the phone sometimes displays a "no service" message, and calls are frequently dumped to answerphone - all in areas with good reception, where other handsets in the vicinity experience no problems at all.

An acknowledgement from HTC would be nice, if only so some of us don't return our (otherwise fabulous) handsets for refunds and get something else instead.
