The suspend time for questions is always reported an hour off from what it actually is. This applies to market pages and the closing soon lists. The same problem exists for the time created reporting (this can be important when predicting on a question under the 12 hour cash-in ban which is closing soon).

I assume the problem is daylight savings time (particularly in the PST zone), but if that's not fixable we should move over the HubDub standard to GMT. Each user can figure out for themselves how their region compares to GMT (and adjust if required for daylight savings), but it's really confusing as it is right now.

Example: I'm in EST which is three hours before PST. If a question was created at 3am PST, I know to add twelve hours for the cash-in ban and then three hours for time difference. So I could start cashing out at 6pm EST. Wrong! I have to add an extra hour (because of the HD clock problem), and can only cash out after 7pm. Similarly, when the question approaches suspend time, I'll be warned 2 hours left, 1 hour left, and then, bam, it suspends. There is no longer an "x minutes left" warning, because of the clock.

Please can this be fixed? Or can we have GMT as the standard time zone?
(This was discussed here previously - when US and Canada changed over to d.s.t. - but I assumed it would have been fixed by now.)

My friend ltmod, responded to my kid's (Skipper) challenge about what MLB team would be first to have a seven game winning streak. On ltmod's profile this response appears as. "movie comes out on Frfiday, July 11th, I believe.". There seems to be a ghost in the machine!

I have the "Show predictions on Profilce" checkbox checked in my Site Settings.

Though the checkboxes seem always to be checked when making a prediction, I noticed the predictions are often (not always) not being shown on my profile.

I cannot really say I can reproduce this behavior, or in what specific circumstances it occurs.

Edit: I noticed it occurs always when I put in a manual amount on the prediction.

Three times I reported the problem, perhaps on an inappropriate place, because I have no answer, nor any action to fix the problem.

AnAverageAmerican adviced to post a new separate question and when I saw that TruthWrangler has the same problem, I decide to open this thread.
In brief, I made my prediction on the above question - "NO".
And I repeat - this was done many hours BEFORE the suspend date.
Finally, the question was settled just as "NO". But for me, instead in 'Settled predictions', the question appears in the 'Void predictions' section, the wage is restored, no gain is awarded and the answer is 'Yes', which is not correct.
I had the same problem one more time and it took some time to be fixed.
It appears to me that this is perhaps a bug.
Please, fix this problem, as well for TruthWrangler, and for me.

Love the new email reporting of settlements. Really useful feature. Just a minor problem. With hedged bets on a settled question, the total gain is incorrect. For example, on the recent question about the Euro, I had several wagers in each of two choices (one of which was the correct one). My gain (not counting wager) was $2200 greater than the losses on the wrong choice, but it was reported as a total gain of $3. There was no problem with payments themselves, just an arithmetic error with the email.

there is some very weird odds reporting. This is particular to today's question -- that is, it wasn't like this in earlier days.

The market activity is over $70,000, yet wagers of 300, 400 and 500 are valued such that cash-in drops the current odds on that question 5-7%. That doesn't make any sense. Taking less than 1% of total activity out of the market shouldn't be having such a dramatic effect, and didn't seem to yesterday or before on such questions. Also, it suggests that all predictions in this market are being undervalued.

The Countdown Timer appears to be running fast.

Several questions are displayed as closing sooner than the actual Suspend Time.

As I write this it is 3:25pm PST, and a question set to suspend at 5:00pm PST is displayed as suspending in 1 hour -- a difference of more than an hour.

I 'm pretty sure I've seen the "Suspend Time" with a difference greater than 1 hour -- but I don't have examples at hand.

Several times I have seen a question with a "Created Date" that is later than either the "Suspend Date" or the "Settlement Date".

Here's an example where the question was "created" after it was "suspended":

This apparently results in a question being suspended, with zero H$ (no 12-hour delay as well).

When creating new questions, setting settlement dates don't always "take" when the question is finally published.

This seems to be an intermittent problem -- and may explain why some questions that *need* settlement dates don't have them ... the author may have set one, but it didn't take.

I have "Show News" in My Setting deselected, but usually the News shows up anyway. I'm not bitching, I'm a programmer and appreciate the fact that HD is in beta. Just an interested user proivding feedback to the Dev team.
