Grand Theft Auto - How Much Violence is it Responsible For?
http://www.hubdub.com/e/Market/Will_G...
Does the act of violence have to be on the day it is released or is the question settled yes if it is blamed for any act of violence in the past on the day of its release?

Inappropriate?Since the market states "blamed for an act of violence the day of its release?" I think that if the news media the day of its release reports on violence caused by the game this should be settled as a yes.
Since GTA games have always been blamed for violence, this market would need to have 90% odds of yes, because after the games release at some point it will be blamed for some sort of violent crime.
Just my two cents.

Inappropriate?...and then someone on the Hubdub site got in their car and went mental to make a profit!
Just kidding, I agree with Ryan, but I have my doubts that it will instantly cause chaos the day it is released. I think that's what this question infers meaning 'the day it is released.'

Inappropriate?I'm exactly with Ryan on this. I'd have said starting odds should have been nearer 20%, but meh, it's running now

Inappropriate? The question says "GTA IV" not "GTA". The media will report on violence caused by previous versions of the game. But that has nothing to do with the new version. The violence has to be tied to this version. Since the day of release is the first day the public gets their hands on it, it seems obvious the act of violence would have to be that day (unless a GTA IV programmer or reviewer or beta tester goes postal).

Inappropriate?I'm referring to an act of violence the day of the new games release (full 24hr cycle), seeing as how its a big name, that likely means from April 29th 12am - 11:59pm.
InfernalMachine has explained this as I intended when I wrote up the question. If some act of violence occurs within that day, specific to GTA IV, not previous games.
I'm not saying 'chaos' necessarily, just anything, somebody stabs or starts a fight with another in line waiting for the game, or robs someone who did buy it, or god forbid someone actually gets killed the day of release.
I can't predict it but I felt and still feel pretty strongly that somewhere this game will be blamed for some violent act the day of release. Note, this could also include somebody foreseeing that the game results in something (harm, death etc) in the future, ie speculation.
The point of this question was to raise awareness at how ludicrous it is to blame violent acts on game, but that it very likely will happen, as absurd as it is, its just a game, as a gun is just a gun.
