How do I "appeal" if I feel a question was settled wrong?
How do you ask for help if you feel that something was settled wrong? I flagged it for review several days ago, but it's still just marked flagged. Maybe that only works when it's still open??
Anyway, it was a sports question - " Who Will Win The Rangers or the Mets on Jun 15 /2008????????" http://www.hubdub.com/m9347/Who_Will_...
As there were two games between the two teams, and they split the doubleheader, I wouldn't think I would have lost my bet. If I didn't win the bet (as my team did win on that day), I would at least think I'd get refunded my original wager.
Can anyone shed light on this?

Inappropriate?Hi Atrane,
That is our mistake, we should have responded to the flag. I'll ask Donal, who is the sports category editor, to look into it and get back to you.

Inappropriate? You have did exactly what is needed. Now that the question has been asked here, all the admins and super users have received an email notification. While I am not completely sure about the market you have an issue with, I do remember some conversation about it. I am sure that Donal or another admin will address it shortly on here.

Inappropriate? In my experience I have found that the 'contact us' form of hubdub always gets a response.

Inappropriate?Nigel's reply suggests that you already took the appropriate action. When I think a question has settled incorrectly, I usually send either a "Settlement Request", or "Flag this Question", explaining my point of view to the Category Editor. Those text boxes appear pretty small, but you can enter in, or cut-and-paste, a considerable explanation there.
Opening a topic here at GetSatisfaction alerts all the _real_ Hubdub employees and we superusers to the fact that someone has an issue, so it works too. In general, GetSatisfaction is the forum of "last resort" for settlement issues. OTOH, it's a great forum for ideas about how HubDub can be improved and reporting bugs with the site.
Thanks for your thoughts,

Inappropriate?Atrane; you are right in that the question was settled incorrectly, but not precisely for the reason you state.
When doubleheaders occur as a result of a postponement and scenarios such as this arise, we settle questions on the results of the game originally scheduled when the question was created. The originally scheduled game was the first game that the Rangers won but the question was settled by one of our admins on the results of the second game which the Mets won.
I’m sorry that a question was settled incorrectly
