In Play markets
All In-Play markets which can roughly be defined as sports markets in which the suspend time is set for after the event begins. These markets need to be approved by the Category Editor before being created.
If someone wants to create a market and have it labeled "In Play" then they should either first contact the Category Editor and get pre-approval, or create the question and set suspend date in accordance with current rules, then request that the market be designated In Play and suspend date moved.

Inappropriate?I whole-heartedly agree!
However, I've asked for guidance, and I get nothing. Since the NBA in-plays were allowed to continue, I figured a decision regarding those types of markets had been made. I also assumed, that being the category editor for sports, donal would have a chance to approve or disapprove (void) any questions that did not fit with hubdub's philosophy. If he approved, then he will create the appropriate 'in-play' tagged image, I hope.
Please guide me to the instructions for setting up 'in-play' suspension dates. I will follow them to the letter.
However, I did clearly note in the market background when the question 'should be' suspended, in accordance with this user's intent.
If any of these questions need to be voided, so be it. Just make sure they are all voided. Thank you.
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?First I think these are great markets. Second I hope that Donal will approve them. I suspended them until Donal can approve. The labeling of them IN PLAY was the only point where I didn't want Hubdub users to get confused. I have asked that Donal approve all these markets for the IN Play status. He is currently on vacation and Brian who is filling in will run these by him in the following days. I am sure once he gets back he will address the IN play markets. I know in another thread he mentioned some basics, hopefully we can now get further details.

Inappropriate?Umm. I don't really see why we would label these markets 'in play'. I thought in play was reserved for games and events... this is an entire season, right? We have lots of questions that cover the events of a season: F1 drivers championship, American Idol winner, NCAA champion, etc that haven't had any extra 'in-play' handling.
Seperate from any discussion of in-play guidelines (which are good discussions to have) I don't see why these questions are labeled in-play. Am I missing something??
I’m really confused

Ummm. Maybe I just thought about it 'too much'.
It seems like the wagering can continue allthough the 'event' has started, so to speak. So, it has the 'feel' of an in-play market.
But, as jenniandboys said, these markets also 'feel' like those that address 'seasons' as opposed to individual games.
Again, I'm not opposed to having these markets voided, for any reason.
I'd just like some clear guidance before I re-create them, if neccessary. -
Inappropriate?I agree with JenniAndBoys -- in my view, these are no different than other markets that "last a season" ... even in other categories, such as "Who will be President of the US?" -- that was created way before the first primary, and continues, today,"in-play".
In my view these questions only need to be edited to remove the words "in play", and they will be fine. -
