New leaderboard question settlement dispute

was settled as Yes. But as much as you may be proud of the new friends feature, I can't see who is in 25th or 500th place unless I already happen to have them on my friends list, so the answer should be No. It says "more than", not "other than". I only wagered on this question on that basis, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Also, is the friends feature the reason we now only get sporadic updates of our cash and predictions amounts?

I did ponder this one before settling it. In the end I thought it was a Yes because the friends leaderboard is a 'new leaderboard' and it allows you to see more than the top twenty users. Technically therefore I considered that it answered the question, however potentially not in the way some people expected.
What does anyone else think? (Please state if you had a position on the question)
I think a bug crept in with yesterday's release which affected cash and prediction amounts. Chris is working on that right now. -

The friends functionality is not actually related to the caching of the current predictions value - the change just happened at the same time. At the moment it stores the value for a maximum of 2 minutes (or should do). I'm planning to add in code to at least make it update when you buy or sell a prediction. I may eventually be able to make it update on any change in price, though this is a whole world more difficult. -

I agree with the OP that this was wrongly decided.
Will Hubdub invent a new leaderboard where you can see more than the first twenty people this month?
In order for this to be "Yes", relative to deciding to settle this with the "friends Leaderboard", I would have to have all of the top twenty-one people in my friends list -- AND have every other user that could move into the "top twenty-one" position, at any point in time.
While theoretically, the Friends Leaderboard might have the capability of doing that -- assuming it can reference 5000+ users in every user's "My Friends" section -- in my view it's unpersuasive to hold that users would want to do this, or would do this.
Users would also need to continually add new users as they join, and all requests to "be a friend" would need to be responded to affirmatively.

Inappropriate?I also didn't have any money on this wager. But I do agree that the new friends leaderboard doesn't constitute that question being settled. I think TruthWrangler summed it up perfectly.

Inappropriate?I did not have any H$ on this question either and agree with the OP that it was wrongly decided. While the friends leaderboard is indeed new, I am still unable to see who is #21 on the list. -

I will re-settle the question in favor of the No's (although the Yes's will retain their winnings).

Inappropriate?I can see how recalculating the current worth of all predictions second to second is probably not required, but the cash value not changing on transactions is disturbing. So it would be nice to have that functionality back, even if the predictions amount doesn't immediately reflect the transaction.
