Question page rearranged to promote commenting
There's such an active community on Hubdub but many questions aren't as discussed (via comments) as they might be. The commenting functionality until now has been hidden amongst the many tabs on the question page, but we've rearranged things slightly to make it more prominent.
It is now the default tab. Details from the Info tab are available on the "read all" link next to the settlement details (which is a better context for that data), related news is on the right hand panel (as it leads to other pages, like the rest of that panel) and the graph can be enlarged in situ by clicking the Zoom button (more intuitive than a tab at the bottom of the screen).
Any feedback welcome.
Thanks,
Tom

Inappropriate? To echo a message I sent to Chris, I like the "direct view" of comments very much! -- it's wayyy more inviting to users, I think.
Too bad about "News" being moved off to the right ... Chris said that, currently, "news" isn't getting enough attention to justify the space it was given.
I confess I don't understand that, as for me, I thought "news" was a 'foundation pillar" on which the premise of HD was built.
I have read comments from the Tech Team! over the past months that there were "problems with news providers" drawing in relevant news"... Some markets had no news, many had stale news. It was stated that the new "tags" scheme in "creating questions" was changed, at least in part, to enable "better" news feeds.
I had hoped for news feeds to get "better and better" (and more timely) -- with almost the "direct view" that "comments" has now.
In my view, that would let users see "what's the latest news" about a particular market -- and encourage more user participation, with more informed and spirited predictions! -
Inappropriate?I know from own experiences that designing a intuitive UI is very hard. I like how you rearranged the question page.
What I don't like though, is the restriction to the space available for the background-text. Yes, I've seen the "read all" button.
But I put in much effort in writing text to explain my questions (and others do too) and I'm worried that no one will read that anymore and so some people do not really know on what they prediction (the details, the "small" print"), or the circumstances of the settlement.
Example:

There should at least be room for a few lines. Not just one or two. -
Inappropriate? Can we move the information about the user who created the question and other questions created by that user and other markets about the subject above the news?
Can we have the old graph which was able to be zoomed in to a particular time frame. Could we get wager information on the graph (how much money, how many predictions).
What about flipping the comments, so newest comment is at the top.
-
Inappropriate? Can we make the default position so the settlement information is expanded and if someone wants they can read less.
-
Inappropriate? Can we change the priority of the linked news-articles again?
