It'd be extremely cool if Twitterrific for the desktop allowed me to subscribe to a keyword search, using Twitter Search, and would display the new results inline, like it does for @replies and DMs.
twitterific for the iPhone should have a followers column, where we can go and directly select the followers whom we want to tweet. Currently, either we have to remember the friend's name or select him from a previous tweet.
I love Twitterific, and it makes every day a little bit brighter. My only sadness is that I don't have something similar for Flickr, the other site I'd love to ambiently monitor during the day. Sure, I've tried 1001, but it's clunky and sad compared to the elegance that is Twitterific.
Icon Factory, save me! Either a different app or the same app with the ability to show Flickr photos in there as well as Twitter. I'd happily pay for that app/that upgrade. Seriously.
I like the feature to update the status on adium or skype with a tweet, but when I'm out, I use the cellphone to update twitter, of course, but it would great if twifferific updated the adium status using my tweets from other sources. I know it is a simple fix, and if-then in the right location.
Ooh, ooh, I know this one: I rebooted and all the tweets I've read have been marked as unread again! That's way cool. And since they're unread, growl has to mention them all to me! Cooler still.
Sometimes (actually most of the time) when I activate the program, either from the dock or from the Menu Item, the window shows up correctly and I can skim through the unread tweets with my space bar.
If, however, I want to tweet myself, or click a link in a tweet, the GUI misbehaves. When I click into the text entry field, the cursor appears there, but it does not blink. When I start typing, nothing appears in the field - until I click again, then it all appears at once.
When I click around a bit, or click the refresh button, sometimes it suddenly works again properly (with correctly blinking cursor bar etc.)
Same with links, it sometimes needs multiple clicks to get it to open.
I guess this problem is caused by an interaction with some other Software on my computer, but I could not find out what the problem could be. Any hints?
Make the twitter errors, which are becoming quite frequent, compact like you can do for all tweets if you desire. But this way the twitter errors don't take up so much real estate since they are always larger than tweets, which is annoying.
For some time now, I'll mark all tweets as read yet still get new tweet notification via the menu bar icon -- though there are no new tweets. This will happen a dozen or so times a day for me.
"Twitter Error
There was a "HTTP 304 response" error while communicating with Twitter. This is a problem with their server, so contact Twitter at ... if the problem persists."
The log says the error occurs fetching the timeline of people I follow. When I post a new tweet myself, the error goes away the next time Twitterrific refreshes.
I know this is labeled Twitter's problem, but I'm not sure it is. Aren't 304 Not Modified responses normal when requesting tweets? It seems more likely that I'm trying to use Twitterrific with lower Twitter traffic than most people, and Twitterrific is confused that there are actually in fact no new tweets in whatever time frame it's asking about.
