Accessing outlook archive files
I have dumped a safety copy of my e-mail archive files on a DVD, but when I try to open them I get the message that I do not have the permission required to access the file - what do I do?

Inappropriate?i think you should copy them back on your hard disk to be able to open them.

Inappropriate? An Outlook archive is a Personal Folders file (.pst)
To view it in Outlook, you need to copy the .pst file back to your C drive and from the C drive into Outlook as follows:
1. On the File menu, point to Open, and then click Outlook Data File.
2. Click the .pst file you want to open, and then click OK.
The name of the folder associated with the data file appears in the Folder List. To view the Folder List, on the Go menu, click Folder List. By default, the folder will be called Personal Folders .
