How do you want results displayed in imeasure?
We are doing some work to improve imeasure & would love to hear from our imeasurers about what improvements are most wanted. We don't have much funding - but are aiming to improve the results page - especially the graphs and tables to make the results clearer and more digestible. The glitch in the carbon clubs will be fixed as well as we add a few more features to the carbon clubs so users get more than just a ranking for each of the clubs they are members. Finally, we are doing some much need housekeeping to improve the input of data so people don't run into problems when their meter changes or switches.

Inappropriate?Hi Catherine,
I think iMeasure is great in its current form, but since you asked ...
I've found it useful to calculate & graph monthly totals for kWh, £ and kg CO2 for both gas and electricity usage - e.g.
I realise that direct comparisons of energy use for space heating are potentially misleading because of the influence of the weather on heating loads, but simple monthly comparisons do help me to explain to the rest of my family how we're doing and show the impacts of various changes on our energy use - in our case we can see how our electricity use has increased since the birth of our second son last summer.
I would also find it useful to have a bar chart showing our energy use on a monthly basis compared with the average for all iMeasure users (or whichever subset I've selected for comparison) - i.e. for each month in a rolling year one bar for our usage next to a bar for the iMeasure average.
Thanks,
Jeremy Anson -
Inappropriate?I completely agree that being able to graph our own energy usage or emissions compared to the subset of similar other users would be really useful. That information is there to see on a week by week basis, but not historically.
A scatterplot of usage versus weekly mean air temperature for your location (postcode) would be interesting if the temperature data were available. But perhaps this is asking too much. -
Inappropriate?Having an extra column for average over the last year would be handy.
I'm coming up to completing my first year so being able to compare energy use with last year would also be good.
It would be good if the energy rating could be based on UK average domestic energy use rather than just the average of the imeasurers. The imeasurers are committed to reducing energy use so are likely to have lower than average energy use. This can mean a discouragingly low rating that isn't deserved!
If there is a record of domestic gas and /or electricity consumption this would be handy to include on the graph so we can see where we are in comparison to everyone else.
Thanks for a really useful service...
I’m excited

Inappropriate?Catherine love the site ! I am sure any changes will be good. Have been using it for 26 weeks and its second nature to take readings every Tuesday evening.
I use the graphs against exceptionally cold weather to map increase and log them.
Keep up the good work !

Inappropriate?Line graph for amounts/units of gas & elec used per week/month would be useful along with one for estimated cost?!

Inappropriate?I like the idea of the bar chart out put.
In terms of my own monitoring I compare the heating energy requirements with the degree days from my nearest met office station. The data being available at http://www.eci.ox.ac.uk/research/ener.... ( I use the 16 degree base as this reflect the outside temp when our heating comes on)
One piece of info I would value is the current CO2 conversion factors for electricity/oil/gas etc being shown on the results page
