Is it possible to get WiFi connection diagnostics for Infinite SMS in order to diagnose possible connection problems when attempting to send/recieve texts to/from friends?
I'm just wondering if there's a way to test/diagnose the WiFi connection before sending a text message to a friend. The diagnostic would also have to diagnose why people are not getting text responses from their friends. I've read in the FAQs that anything from being signed into Google Talk or not allowing Chat logging in gmail can cutoff text responses from friends. Don't know if there's anything pertinent to this question, but if it's possible to get a diagnostic, then we (the users) may be able to pinpoint the errors that cause us to not send/receive texts. That way, we'll stop bombarding the employees on this site with lots of vague questions or repeatedly posting something about ERROR #_____.
In basic terms, is it possible to check the WiFi connection ahead of time in order to allow Infinite SMS users to successfully send/receive text message(s)?

Inappropriate?Hi, Null.
I've added some stuff to 1.5 that will detect if you're signed in elsewhere and let you know about it.
I'm also planning to add a button to the Password Error that will take you directly to Google's account unlock page.
Those are the two most common problems, but they don't actually have anything to do with Wi-Fi, really.
The two biggest issues with Wi-Fi are (1) you're on a network with a firewall that blocks Google Talk or (2) you're on a network that requires you to authenticate or accept a terms of service in your web browser and you haven't yet. There's no real way to detect the difference.
Also, our FAQ has troubleshooting steps for common errors, including a table of the SMS_ERROR_# codes that we know about:

Good job about already working on another update. I know that WiFi may not have much to do with it, I just threw it in there so that people would read it (since diagnostics sounds like a very technical term). I'm aware that you have already posted a table of numerous SMS_ERROR codes and causes, but instead of having users constantly looking them up, how about installing an onboard error definition feature within the app that tells the users exactly why they got the error and provide specific details in order allow users to resolve the errors...
I don't know if you already answered this in other threads regarding authentication/firewalled wifi networks, but if you were able to connect to a wifi network via authentication, will Infinite SMS still work? -
Inappropriate?Infinite SMS can work on networks requiring authentication / TOS, but you have to open Safari and do the auth/TOS first. Then it depends on whether the network firewall blocks google talk.
