Process card while on the phone?
is it possible to process a credit card while speaking to the buyer over the iPhone, or does the call have to be disconnected while the app runs?

Inappropriate?Hi, Brad.
This is a great question! I wish the answer was a resounding "YES", but there are some caveats:
(1) If you have a Wi-Fi, connection, you can always process credit cards while on a call. With the original "2G" iPhone, Wi-Fi is the only way to process cards while on a call.
(2) If you have the iPhone 3G, and you are connected to a 3G network you can process cards while on a call. If your iPhone connects to a GSM/Edge network, you cannot process cards while on a call.
You can read more about the iPhone 3G’s wireless features on Apple’s website.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

P.S. Of course, if you have an iPod Touch instead of an iPhone, you have to have a Wi-Fi to run credit cards at all, since it can't connect to Edge or 3G networks. Or make calls. :-)
