SMS Still Works For Me

With the recent flood of people saying how much it doesn't work, I would like to point out two things. First of all, this isn't the companies fault, I'm sure they are working on it as we talk. Secondly, the app still works for me. I have version 1.3, I have not updated it, but I sent Text Messages today, and gotten response. Infinite SMS still works for me, so I'm not sure if it is a problem with version 1.4, or Google. Because if it is Google... why can I still send Texts?

Also, the Lab Text feature is still in Gmail.
