The signup link doesn't lead to Authorize.net
Two questions:
When I clicked to sign up for a merchant account, it directed me to a site that is not authorize.net and whose prices are different from your page; they list $15/mo, your site lists $25/mo...what gives?
Secondly, one of my partners does not have an iPhone. With the merchant account I sign up for here, will he be able to have a normal web form method of access? I understand that would be third party, and I know Authorize.net provides a form like that - which brings me back to my first question, since I'm not sure I'm signing up for an Authorize.net account....

Inappropriate?Hi, Chris.
There are actually two accounts that you need: an Internet Merchant Account and an Authorize.Net gateway account. Our sign up link goes to our partner Merchant Focus, an authorized reseller for Authorize.Net, where you can sign up for both accounts at the same time. I just had a look at that page, and I agree that the Authorize.Net part of things isn’t very prominent. I’ll see if we can’t make some changes to that page so that others in the future won’t be confused. Let me address your specific questions as well.
The prices do match up, but they’re not itemized exactly the same way. On the Merchant Focus sign up page, the merchant account fees are in the gray box with checkmarks, while the Authorize.Net fees are further down, by a line item that says “Gateway Authorize.Net”. If you look at our Detailed Cost Table, you’ll see that we have the same breakdown. We thought it was complicated, so we just listed the combined total cost to you on our main page. In your example the $25/mo is $15/mo for merchant account (which you saw right away) + $10/mo for the gateway account (which is further down the page by the word Authorize.Net).
You should have no trouble using the Authorize.Net virtual terminal web page. The account you’re signing up for is a full-fledged Authorize.Net account. Again, I apologize if it was not clear that you were signing up for Authorize.Net on the Merchant Focus sign up page.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
