Do I need Ioncube (or similar) installed on my server to run Joomla Updater? Am I able to install the Pro version on a test server (not live) as well as the final server?

Don't be confused ... no, the code is not encoded, so there are no special requirements other than a recent version of PHP5, J!1.5 and appropriate permissions or file ownership (most isp's handle this for you automagically).
Introductory pro licensing is one time - purchase one license, and use it on all your servers (not your clients or your friends, but yours).
The pricing mode is changing in the near future, as we approach 5,000 websites using the software the introductory pricing will cease and be replaced by a more sustainable business mode (monthly or annually tiered pricing).

Inappropriate?where is the pro plugin? The one I bought today allows only one email per site. I need several emails to parse from one site. Can the pro do that?
