I originally was on blogger when I imported my comments into ID. I did this early on when it was still experimental and I lost all my commenter's names on my ID. I sucked it up with the hopes of it being fixed soon per Jon. They did fix the problem with the new importer but I was stuck where I was. Fine I lived with it.

Now I am upgrading to my own hosted WP server and I can not have my existing comments show up due to different post id's. Now I have the old and new post ID's but ID said they can not help me.

Maybe someone else out there can get me out of comment hell? I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Jon or Michael.

I have an IntenseDebate account tied to an OpenID login. I'd like to be able to import my comments into FriendFeed, but when I enter my IntenseDebate username into the FF account setup, FF says my IntenseDebate username cannot be found. Is that an IntenseDebate problem, or a FF problem? I ask because the IntenseDebate account--under OpenID--doesn't seem to have the same profile URL as a "regular" IntenseDebate account. Thoughts? Ideas?

As a blogger, can I edit commenters' comments, or just approve or delete them?

I'd want to do that to delete profanity, shorten a URL extending into the margin, fix a link, or delete a voluminous quoting of a previous comment that adds nothing of substance.

Why don't the gravatars of the other people show up in the recent comments widget?

I have a blog hosted by GoDaddy and I am using their Quickblogcast service. I am able to use Windows Live Writer to post articles. It stinks having to log-in to the Godaddy blog management site to manage comments... there has to be a better way.

Can I use Intense Debate to manage the comments on the Godaddy hosted blog?

how can I change the Intense Debate theme? I'd prefer a less cluttery look to go with my sleek blog :: adventures in daily living ::.

Why do I only get a list of my five most recent comments on my profile page? Why is there no link to older comments? Is there some way to search or list older comments? If not, why not?

Is there some way to merge/associate an OpenID login with my existing Intense Debate account?

I signed up with Intense Debate a few days ago and am really enjoying the service. However, I also just signed up with an OpenID provider today.

I was wondering if there was some way to merge or associate my OpenID account with my regular account so I don't have to start from scratch? It seems that linking the two (or moving the main over to an OpenID login on my account) would be better than deleting my account and signing back up again.

Should I decide to leave Intense Debate, is it possible for me to export my comments from Intense Debate into my Movable Type database? That is, I'd like to have all my comments properly registered with my MySql database as though I never used Intense Debate.

My concern is that if I should join Intense Debate and then later leave it, my comments will be stranded. I'd like to have them properly associated with their proper posts in my Movable Type MySql database.

My blog has a gradient for its background, light on the bottom, and dark at the top. This makes any comment text readable only at the very lowest portion of the screen. I have been trying to alter the stylesheet, as per your instructions, to mo avail. Ideally, I would like to add a background to the comments area, or barring that, change the text color from black to white.

Unfortunately, everything that I have tried has resulted in no change. Additionally, I can't seem to tell the Intense Debate not to use the style sheet I specified in my account. It just keeps popping back in.

What class(es) do I need to change? What is the eta on the developer documentation for your stylesheet?

One feature suggestion, if I may: allow your users to choose at the very least a basic theme for their blog, ie: black text on white ground, or white text on black ground. Even that would be better than what is displaying on my blog right now.

Is there a way to hid the list of comments I've made in my profile? While it's not like I think people won't be able to find the comments I've made throughout the Internet, I don't like the thought of every comment I made on every blog using IDC being visibly public in one place.
