Recently active problems in Intense Debate

For some reason my dashboard's "Blogs you have commented on" and "Blogs people you follow have commented on" have not updated since I registered. I still see the very first blogs I that appeared there even though I must have commented there just once, whereas in my own blog I've commented hundreds.

When posting a comment without an Intense Debate account, the email address validation rejects addresses which include a '+' before the '@'.

E.g., test+idc@test.com would be rejected, despite being a valid email address.

This has been happening for the last few days. I can post comments just fine but if I try to edit, as soon as I'm complete and post it, the system will show the loading button for a minute or so and then display an error:

There has been a connection error. The connection has timed out

This happens in all the blogs (about 4) I've done it.

However if you reload the page after this error, the changes you make are there. This makes it a much smaller problem but it's bound to confuse people.

When I try to view my user page (http://intensedebate.com/people/ahpatel), I get an error message saying "Invalid user name".

However, I confirmed that the username is correct in my profile and tried getting to it from simply clicking the username link that IntenseDebate puts in the top right corner when I'm logged in. Furthermore, if I try to create a new account with my same username, I get a message saying the username already exists in the database.

I'm registered using OpenID -- and I think that may be part of the problem. If so, I don't mind moving to a traditional login. How would I go about doing that and still claiming my blog?

Intense Debate seems to have stopped emailing me when there are new comments on my blog. :(

I can't seem to figure out how to claim my comments on my blog. I was able to claim my comments on another blog (from which I signed up for Intense Debate) but I can't seem to claim the comments I've made on my own blog prior to installing the Intense Debate plugin. What do I need to do? The name, email address, and URL associated with my Intense Debate account are the same used in my blog's comments prior to installing Intense Debate, so I'm not sure what else needs to match to get this to work.

How to remove Haloscan from my blog? I want to install IntenseDebate in my blog, but I don't know how to install Haloscan.
Other problem: how I import my comments?

Hello.

I've tried both the template install than the widget install.

During the widget install I obtain 2 errors: the former for the widget itself

"sectionId: Required field must not be blank"

the latter for the template:

"error code bX-s1feoa"
"blogID: 9026543428336864975"
"host: www.blogger.com"
"url: /add-widget.do"

Obviously if I try the template installation, I obtain only the "error code bX-s1feoa" error.

I use a standard Blogger template.

So: what is the problem with this installation?

I don't see I.D. on my blog anymore. When I reinstall to my Blogger blog, I hit "Preview" button before saving new blog template. Unfortunately I get a Blogger error page. I have not saved new template.

Desperate for help here. I'm trying to use ID for the comments on my website, truckbearingkibble.com. About a week ago I installed ID into a "testbed" subdirectory (truckbearingkibble.com/wptest) of my wordpress driven website to see how I liked using it with a new design I was preparing. I did like ID a lot, so when I was ready to launch the redesign for real, I wanted to start fresh with it. I uninstalled ID from the "testbed" wordpress install and checked the "Delete my Intense Debate account for this blog" box before reinstalling ID to the "real" site.

This seems to have somehow gummed up the works, because I'm unable to effectively change any settings or moderate posts. ID shows up just fine on the "real" site and takes new posts, but none of it seems to exist when accessed through the dashboard of the account tied to the blog. The overview is blank, settings can't be changed, posts can't be viewed or moderated, etc..

What's more, it seems like all the old comments from the "testbed install" are still in the ID system somewhere, but I cannot access them.

When I access the "My Latest Comments" RSS feed (/userRSS/??????), it's not properly identified as an RSS feed. A bit of digging shows that it's using
text/xml charset="UTF-8"
with a missing semicolon, when it should be
text/xml; charset="UTF-8"
The other RSS feeds in "My RSS Feeds" do not have this problem.

504 Gateway Time-out is the error I keep getting when I try to import my comments from blogger. What Do I do?

Don't know, what is exactly wrong, but there are problems with encoding in mail notifications, feeds and widgets. Examples:

So, the problem is not only my or my site.

Apparently, the problem arises only in the titles that are too long, or where there are HTML entities or some special characters.

All of these comments are in Russian, and all tested sites are in UTF-8.

Tested in Firefox 3.0.1, Safari 3.1.2, Opera 9.5 under Mac OS X 10.5.4, and with similar set of browsers under Ubuntu Linux 8.04. So, it's also not a browser/OS problem.

I noticed I received some trackbacks on my blog (wordpress), but it was not captured by ID and wasn't shown.

Is there a way to incorporate them to ID, or preferaably show them below ID on post page?
Some of the trackbacks are from my signature on foruns, so I also need to delete them.

When I have Intense Debate plugin activated on Wordpress, it makes my page display invalid XHTML because of the links it uses. I get a total of 111 errors preventing me from being valid XHTML 1.1 Transitional.

It appears that your OpendID does not support openid Relying Parties. This allows us to add a redirect into a page to an openid server. The following code is found at my openid:

Any ideas?

Comment link text is not showing on the page. I've given the comment link text settings as "Be the first to comment" when there is no comments, "[#] comment" when there is 1 comment, & "[#] comments" when there are multiple comments. But in the page it is shown as "Comments" only. Whether there is a comment or no comments at all it is displayed as "Comments" only.

I hope you will respond to this problem quickly.
